Audels published both a
"library" of electrical
reference materials and the
regularly updated
"Radioman's Guide" books.
The guide series was a
concise summary of
everything electrical and
electronic, divided by
subjects.
Audels Electric Library was
more extensive, originally
published in
ten volumes was originally
published in the 1920's,
including various editions
and reprint runs. It
continued to be reissued
through the 1940's.
The content ranged from home
and business wiring to
electric generation,
lighting and television.
Nehemiah Hawkins, using the
pen name of Theodore Audel,
wrote most of the library as
well as other guides for
mechanics, carpenters and
