Radio Logs were first
published in the early 1920's
to aid the general public in
finding stations to listen
to. This was most important
as much of the US lived far from any
of the early
stations.
Later, logs helped "DXers"
(those who made a hobby of
listening for distant
stations) and even broadcast
professionals.
This is the largest log and
station collection in the
known universe. Really!
This collection has
hundreds of examples and
shows how important
listening to distant
stations was as both a
pastime and a hobby.
Later listings were industry
directories aimed at the
business of radio and TV
