Television Week began as Electronic Media
in 1982, changing name in 2003. It was a tabloid format weekly covering American visual electronic media (television, cable, and video). It was published by Crain Communications, the parent of Advertising Age. Aimed at managerial executives. Television Week reported on production and distribution, emerging and interactive technologies, network and affiliate news,
regulatory developments. and programming. Television
Week covered such topics as the conversion to digital television. With its regular features such as "The Insider," "Viewpoint." and "Converging Media."
and sections on deals, ratings, Hollywood, Washington. career moves, and special reports on a variety of topics.
Per library records, it begin August 5 1982 and ended on February 24, 2003.
This was an expanded version of Ad Age's "Electronic Media Edition".
