Wireless Constructor was a British technical
journal which began publication by Radio
Press Limited in November, 1924. The Editor
in Chief was the widely respected John
Scott-Taggart and the Editor was Percy
Harris. It debuted with a circulation claim
of 175 thousand copies and a promise to be
different from Wireless Weekly and Modern
Wireless, also produced by Radio Press Ltd.
Besides managing the three magazines,
Scott-Taggart, OBE,
(1897-1979) was a British radio engineer who
served with distinction in both World Wars,
applying his technical expertise firstly in
radio, and then in radar, to the war
efforts. |
