"Good News was established in March, 1930, to
promote RCA Radiotrons to dealers and service shops
that sold Radiotron tubes. The magazine was
initiated at the same time that the Radio
Corporation of America created the separate RCA
Radiotron Company, which focused on the manufacture
of vacuum tubes.

With its five factories located at Harrison, Newark,
Cleveland and Indianapolis, the RCA Radiotron
Company, Inc. is the largest producer of radio tubes
in the
world. These factories provide 1,147,000 square feet
of floor space, will employ 5500 people, and have an
output of 310,000 tubes a day. |
