From September 1950, the valve manufacturer
Mullard began distributing a monthly
eight-page booklet to its distributers and
the general radio and television retailers.
The 4-page orange section was the
"Commercial" section, spotlighting dealers
and representatives, news from the shows as
well as publicizing available advertising
literature ... oh, and mentioning their high
speed valve tester at every possible
opportunity! The four-page green "For the
Service Department" section was a much more
interesting - ant technical - section. The
latest valves were described, example
circuits given, whilst topics such as valve
and C.R.T. manufacturing presented as
mini-series spread over many months.
