The Television
Index was issued weekly from
September of 1948.It was a newsletter-style report covering television
programming, talent and production. This
included network schedules, sponsorships,
film packages, writers, etc.
The Television
Index stated that it was a "factual record
of this week's events in television
programming".
The "Ross Report" was founded by Wally Ross,
and sold to Jerry Leichter in 1952.
