Radio Pictorial was a weekly
British radio program magazine, independent
of the BBC. It began on January 19,1934 and continued through
September 8 of 1939.
Radio Pictorial was a combined BBC schedule
and feature magazine with interviews,
commentary and pictorial pages.
Radio Pictorial had the full BBC schedule
and highlights of foreign broadcasts, too.
In its own words...
"keeping in step with the
progress of Radio, the publishers of Radio
Pictorial present a new and modern type of
Radio Magazine and Log.
It not only tells "when and where" the
nation's stations are broadcasting, also
gives interesting facts about who is on the
air.
As you hear the voice of your favorite Radio
star, or the music of the dance orchestra
that you like best, turn the pages of Radio
Pictorial until you locate their photograph,
together with some interesting bit of news.
Radio Pictorial is the only complete
illustrated news-review radio magazine and
permanent log book published." |
